PALLEKELE: Rubin Hermann top-scored with 48 as Colombo Kaps secured a four-wicket win over Dambulla Sixers in the 17th fixture of the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2026 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.

Set 175 to win, the Kaps reached the target on the final ball of the 19th over, losing six wickets in the process.

After opting to bat first, Dambulla Sixers racked up 174-5 in 20 overs.

Sahibzada Farhan was substituted out in the second over after managing only two from six deliveries before Dinesh Chandimal (12) and Pavan Rathnayake (8) went back in succession.

Consequently, the Sixers were reduced to 49-3 inside seven overs. However, Sikandar Raza and Reeza Hendricks laid a solid foundation with an 83-run stand. The duo lifted their side out of trouble as the scorecard read 132 in 16.3 overs.

Raza managed 23 off 25 with the aid of two fours, while Hendricks, who scored the bulk of runs in the partnership, top-scored. The right-hander was dismissed on the last ball of the 17th over after hitting three sixes and nine fours.

Meanwhile, Gulbadin Naib briskly scored 33 off 13, including four boundaries and two sixes, providing the innings with late momentum.

For Colomo Kaps, Shahnawaz Dahani picked up two wickets.
