
GUYANA: Hassan Khan starred in San Francisco Unicorns seven-wicket victory over Lahore Qalandars in the ninth fixture of the Global Super League (GSL) 2026 at the Providence Stadium on Wednesday.
Unicorns chased down 153 inside 15 overs, losing three wickets in the process. Hassan Khan remained not out on 53 from 33 balls, including five sixes and two fours.
Tim Robinson and Connor Esterhuizen shared a 45 run stand for the opening wicket in 4.1 overs. Robinson contribute 21 while Esterhuizen made 29.
Oliver Peake also chipped in with the bat and scored 27 on 15 balls, hitting two sixes and two fours.
However, the standout partnership was between Hassan Khan and Hammad Azam. The duo forged an unbeaten 40 run parntership from 20 ball to take their team over the line.

For Qalandars, Michael Bracewell, Shahab Khan and Shamim Hossain picked up a wicket each.
Earlier, Shayan Jahangir’s half-century took Lahore Qalandars to a respectable total.
Opting to bat first, Lahore Qalandars managed to post 152-6 in their 20 overs, despite a 74-run opening stand between Shayan Jahangir and Shamyl Hussain.
Shamyl made 36 off 36 with the aid of three fours, while Jahangir made 61 off 50 balls, striking four sixes and two fours.
After the first 10 overs, Unicorns squeezed the run flow with wickets at regular intervals and never allowed Qalandars to gain momentum.
For San Francisco Unicorns, Callum Stow starred with the ball and picked up four wickets.
