DUBAI: Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan has replaced Abhishek Sharma to climb to second in the latest ICC Men’s T20I rankings announced on Wednesday.
Farhan, 30, now sits on second position with 848 rating points, while Abhishek slipped to third with 819 points after a string of low scores in the recently completed tours of Ireland, England, and Zimbabwe.
India wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan, meanwhile, has retained the No.1 position with 910 points. Apart from Sahibzada Farhan and Abhishek Sharma’s positions, there was no significant change in the top five batters’ rankings.
Tilak Varma has also moved two positions to sit in the sixth spot. England’s duo of Harry Brook and Jos Buttler have dropped one position each. South Africa’s middle-order Dewald Brevis has broken into the top 10 rankings after moving one place and is now in the 10th position.

The biggest gainer in the T20I rankings was teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The 15-year-old clinched the player of the series award on the Zimbabwe tour. Due to his outstanding performances, he has jumped 230 places to 48th with 536 points.
In the T20I bowling rankings, Pakistan spinner Abrar Ahmed held second place with 736 points, whereas Afghanistan’s spinner Rashid Khan held the top spot. England’s Adil Rashid sits in third place.
Mohammad Nawaz also retained the number 10 position with 658 points, whereas fast bowler Salman Miraz improved one spot to move to 15th. India’s mystery spinner Varun Chakaravarthy slipped out of the top 10 rankings after slipping three places.
Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis broke into the top five rankings after moving one place with 675 rating points.
