LAHORE: Pakistan women’s team captain Fatima Sana has expressed confidence in the team’s preparations ahead of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026.

Speaking to reporters, Fatima shed light on Pakistan’s preparation for the tournament and her participation in The Hundred.

“We are preparing for the Women’s Asia Cup,” she said.

The all-rounder, who recently became the first Pakistani woman cricketer to play in the Hundred franchise competition, expressed pride in the achievement.

“Playing in ‘The Hundred’ league proved very beneficial. It is an honor for me to be the first Pakistani female cricketer to play in the English league,” she said.

“A strong performance in ‘The Hundred’ will open up opportunities for other players,” added Fatima.

She said Pakistan would give equal importance to every match, including the clash against India.

“Every match in the Asia Cup is important for us. We are not focused on just one specific match; there are games against various teams leading up to that,” she explained.
