‘Players will get raise in their salaries under new central contracts’ PCB

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Friday that the players will get raise in their salaries under the upcoming PCB Central Contracts 2022-23.

As per the details, the cricket board is considering dividing the players into two different categories, one for red-ball players and the other for white-ball.

The PCB conducted several meetings till this week about the new central contracts, and according to the discussions, the cricket board is committed to raising player salaries in order to close the wage gap between international and Pakistani sportsmen.

“The new contracts will definitely raise the earnings of the players. Pakistani cricketers earn far less than international players, and we are working hard to close that gap,” the cricket board stated.

The cricket board further considering establishing a fund for the iconic players in order to prevent the leading cricketers from competing in various leagues around the world. As per the PCB, the fund will financially support the players.
