Pakistan to face India in South Asian Table Tennis Championship finals

MALE: Pakistan Under-15 boys’ table tennis team avenged Bangladesh in the semi-final to set an exciting final against the arch-rivals India in the ongoing South Asian Junior Cadet Table Tennis Championship 2022.

Pakistan U-15 boys team comprises Muhammad Ahmad and Abbas Amjad secured an astonishing victory over Bangladesh to set their final with India.

The Pakistan U-19 girls’ team, on the other hand, will face India in the semi-finals, but not in the final. The team put on incredible performances in the preliminary rounds to advance to the final four.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF), which could not get funds from PSB, directed the players and support personnel to arrange their tickets by themselves to participate in the event.

The players, however, then got private sponsorships from different organizations, which allowed them to compete in the South Asian Championship.
