RAWALPINDI: Pakistan held a full-strength training session on Wednesday at the Pindi Cricket Stadium here before the commencement of the five-match PAK vs NZ ODI series on April 27.
After Pakistan’s T20I series heartbreak as Mark Chapman‘s heroics propelled New Zealand to level the five-match T20I series 2-2, the national team will turn their attention towards the upcoming PAK vs NZ ODI series, scheduled to kick off tomorrow.
With the World Cup preparations in sight, the green shirts geared up to take on a relatively inexperienced New Zealand side which defeated them 2-1 in the ODI series in January this year.
With the ODI assignment just around the corner, the national team held a rigorous training session at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.
According to the details, the ODI squad-bound players participated in rigorous batting, fielding and bowling drills.
Earlier on Wednesday, Pakistan captain Babar Azam and his New Zealand counterpart Tom Latham unveiled the glittering trophy for the upcoming PAK vs NZ ODI series and posed with the silverware.
It is worth mentioning here that the important ODI series will commence on April 27 at Pindi Cricket Stadium which will also host the second game on April 29 before the action shifts to Karachi, where the remaining three ODIs will be played on May 3, 5 and 7.
