TRINIDAD: Pakistan captain Babar Azam broke multiple records after an eight-wicket victory over West Indies in the second Test at Queen’s Park Oval.
Babar was jointly named Player of the Series alongside Justin Greaves for his batting contributions during the series. He scored 192 runs across four innings, including 88 in the second Test.
With the award, Babar equalled the former captain Imran Khan’s record for the most Player of the Series Awards by a Pakistan player. It was also Babar’s first Player of the Series award in Test cricket.

Additionally, Babar registered his ninth away Test victory as captain in his just 12th Test match, surpassing Australian great Steve Waugh to record the best away win-loss record by any Test captain in history (min 12 Tests).
Pakistan defeated the West Indies in the second Test to level the two-match series. After suffering a defeat in the first Test, Babar Azam’s side staged a dominant comeback, powered by outstanding performances from Abdullah Shafique and Sajid Khan.
Sajid picked up eight wickets in the match while Abdullah scored a sublime 160 in the first innings to provide Pakistan a 43-run lead.
