Three men charged over gunpoint robbery of Amir Khan: English Media

LONDON: Three men have been charged after former world boxing champion Amir Khan was allegedly robbed at gunpoint here in April, English Media reported.

The three individuals in their 20s – Ahmed Bana, 25, Nurul Amin, 24, and Dante Campbell, 20, who robbed the former boxer have been taken into custody and will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court later, the Met Police said.

According to the English media, all three individuals are accused of conspiracy to commit robbery while Bana and Campbell have been charged with possession of an imitation firearm.

Campbell, on the other hand, is charged with both possession of unlicensed firearm ammunition and possession of an imitation firearm with the aim to instil fear of violence.

It is pertinent to mention here that Amir was robbed along with his wife Faryal Makhdoom on April 18 as a gun was pointed in his face on High Road in Leyton, east London, and his £72,000 watch was taken.
