Shan to lead Derbyshire in a warm-up match against India on July 1

KARACHI: Pakistan’s left-handed opener Shan Masood will lead the Vitality Blast County side, Derbyshire Falcons, in their scheduled warm-up match against India on July 1.

Masood, who was handed the captaincy role of his Vitality Blast franchise Derbyshire Falcons will have a major assignment ahead of him as his side is scheduled to take on India in a warm-up match on July 1.

The touring side will then take on another franchise Northamptonshire in their second warm-up match on July 3.

Meanwhile, both warm-up matches will be clashing with India’s rescheduled fifth Test against England, which will take place from July 1 to 5 at Edgbaston — the final Test of their tour to England, which was postponed over Covid-19 fears.

The two sides will then lock horns in a three-match T20I and ODI respectively. The T20Is will be played on July 7, 9, and 10. Whereas, the ODIs will be contested on July 12, 14, and 17.
