DUBAI: Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has moved into the top 10 of the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) T20I Men’s Bowling Rankings following his brilliant performance against Australia in the one-off T20I.
Shaheen, who returned with splendid bowling figures of 2/21 in the one-off T20I against Australia earlier this month, has now claimed the 10th rank after climbing up four spots.
The ICC T20I Player of the Year 2021 — Mohammad Rizwan, on the other hand, slipped down a spot in the batting rankings as South Africa’s Aiden Markram replaced him in the second position.
Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam is still leading the batting rankings with staggering ratings of 818. He shone with the bat in his last outing in the shortest format scoring 66 off 46 balls.
In Test rankings, however, South Africa’s spin all-rounder Keshav Maharaj, who starred in the second Test against Bangladesh with both bat and bowl has now risen to 21st in bowlers’ rankings and 13th in all-rounders.
