MULTAN: Pakistan Greens captain Shadab Khan says his bowling is gradually improving as his side prepares to face Pakistan Gold in the National Champions Cup 2026 final.

Under Shadab’s leadership, Greens remained unbeaten in all three matches. Fakhar Zaman has been dominant with the bat, scoring two consecutive centuries.
The left-handed batter is the leading run-scorer with 238 runs to his name at an average of 119.
Shadab praised his side’s overall performance, particularly their attitude and understanding of the local conditions. He also credited the players for building on the work they had done during the recent National Cricket Academy (NCA) white-ball camp.
“Our attitude in the field has been really good, and I feel our team had enough players who knew the local conditions well and also built on the work done in the recent NCA white-ball camp,” he said while talking to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) digital.
“Whole team has put in a great effort and for me they all stand out,” he added.

Shadab remained wary of Pakistan Gold’s threat in the final, despite his side’s unbeaten run.
He said his side would look to keep their approach simple while remaining alert to the danger posed by a team that had capitalized on a narrow opportunity to reach the final.
“We will try to keep things simple in tomorrow’s final while also knowing that a team like Gold that got into the final through a small opportunity can be dangerous.”
The all-rounder was also encouraged by the progress of his bowling and said his priority remained contributing whenever his team needed him, particularly with the bat.
“I feel my bowling is also improving gradually, and with the bat I try to stand up whenever the team needs me,” Shadab concluded.
Shadab Khan has so far picked up two wickets in three matches and has scored 34*, 61, and seven, respectively.
