
PUTRAJAYA: Pakistan’s Muhammad Saqib and Muhammad Jawad reached the finals of their respective categories with impressive performances at the GAMMA Asian MMA Championship 2026 on Wednesday.
The 2nd GAMMA Asian MMA Championships 2026 are taking place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from July 28 to August 2, 2026.
Organized by the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA), this continental amateur event features elite youth and senior fighters competing for gold
Pakistani athletes displayed exceptional technical skills, determination, and fighting spirit by defeating strong opponents from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in different rounds of the championship.
Muhammad Saqib will compete in the Under-18 category final against an athlete from Kazakhstan, while Muhammad Jawad will face a Kazakh opponent in the Under-16 category final.
It is worth mentioning that Muhammad Saqib is also the Gold Medalist of the GAMMA World MMA Championship 2024 and has achieved several notable international successes for Pakistan.

President of the Pakistan Mixed Martial Arts Federation (PMMAF), Zulfiqar Ali, praised the outstanding performances of both athletes and said:
“We are proud of our young athletes, coaching staff, and the entire national team. The athletes have represented Pakistan with great dedication, excellent training, and exceptional determination,” he said.
He extended his best wishes to Muhammad Saqib and Muhammad Jawad for their final bouts, saying that the entire nation is praying for their success and hoping that both athletes will deliver their best performances and win gold medals for Pakistan
“We are confident that they will continue to perform with the same passion in the finals and bring further glory to the country,” he added.
