KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) received an invitation from the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) for a tri-nation T20I series ahead of the upcoming T20 World Cup, sources claimed.
According to the sources, the PCB received an official invitation from the NZC to play a tri-nation T20I series featuring Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.
The PCB has not responded to the invitation as of yet and the reports further suggest that the cricket board will respond after analyzing the schedule of the national team.
It is apropos to mention here that the Pakistan national cricket team will go through a busy season prior to the World Cup as announced by the PCB last month.
The season 2022-23 will commence with a three-match ODI home series against West Indies, followed by two Tests in Sri Lanka and three ODIs in the Netherlands.
The Green Shirts are then scheduled to participate in the Asia Cup 2022 n August-September followed by the home T20I series against England in September.
