DUBAI: No Pakistan player added as the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) newly-introduced International League T20 (ILT20) unveiled the first list of foreign players, signed on for the inaugural edition.
According to information provided by the ILT20, top T20 cricket players from England, the West Indies, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and other cricket-playing nations have signed on with the cash-rich league.
The initial line-up, which comprised 21 players, includes Moeen Ali, Andre Russell, Dawid Malan, Wanindu Hasiranga, Sunil Narine, Evin Lewis, Colin Munro, Fabien Allen, Sam Billings, Tom Curran, Alex Hales, Dushmantha Chameera, Shimron Hetmyer, Akeal Hosein, Chris Jordan, Tom Banton, Sandeep Lamichhane, Chris Lynn, Rovman Powell, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, and Mujeeb Ul Rahman.
According to the details, Pakistan players are unlikely to feature in the newly-announced league as Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is keenly considering saving the interest of national players for the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as the schedules of the two leagues are likely to clash.
