‘Magnificent win but remember journey has just begun’ PCB chairman

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s chairman Ramiz Raja congratulated the national team for winning T20 World Cup contest against arch-rivals India by 10 wickets.

While joining the nationwide celebration, the PCB chairman took to Twitter to back up the national players for clinching their first-ever T20 World Cup match against India.

“Alhamdolillah. It’s the first one, the most magnificent one but remember journey has just begun.. such a proud moment for all Pakistanis and thank you boys for providing us this moment to cherish,” he wrote.

Pakistanis were waiting for a long time to watch their team beat arch-rivals India in a World Cup contest. It happened today at Dubai International Stadium when Babar and Rizwan helped the green shirts chase down 152 runs with 13 balls to spare and 10 wickets in hand.

It was India’s first 10-wickets defeat in T20Is and Pakistan’s first-ever victory with this margin in the shorter format.
