BASSETERRE: Joshua Boyden picked up four wickets to set the tone for England to beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in the opening game of the ICC U19 World Cup.
After deciding to bat first, Bangladesh were bowled out for 97 runs in 35.2 overs. SM Meherob scored highest 14 runs for them.
Apart from Boyden, Thomas Aspinwall bagged two wickets for England.
In reply, England chased the target in 25.1 overs. Jacob Bethell scored 44 runs off 63 balls including four boundaries and two sixes. James Rew remained not out for 26 as England scored 98-3.
Rakib ul Hasan and Ripon Mondol bagged a wicket each for Bangladesh.
