More than three months after a 2-1 ODI series loss against New Zealand, Babar Azam-led Pakistan will be looking to avenge their earlier defeat at home when they face the BlackCaps in the PAK vs NZ five-game ODI series, starting from April 27.
Though the Kiwis are missing several crucial players like Kane Williamson, Fin Allen, Michael Bracewell, Devon Conway, Lockie Ferguson, Glenn Philips and Mitchell Santner from their last visit to Pakistan, they will be eyeing to maintain their dominance over the home team in the 50-over matches.
On the other hand, Pakistan have strengthened their bowling attack with the addition of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan – who missed the previous ODI series due to injuries. Meanwhile, the inclusion of PSL sensation Ihasanullah will further jack up the Green Shirts’ pace battery.
All in all, the five ODI matches will be nothing short of an enthralling contest between the two quality sides in the format.
Pakistan vs New Zealand ODI matches will take place on the following dates:
27 Apr – 1st ODI
29 Apr – 2nd ODI
3 May – 3rd ODI
5 May – 4th ODI
7 May – 5th ODI
The first two matches of Pakistan vs New Zealand ODI series will be played at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Cricket Stadium. Meanwhile, the last three games will take place at Karachi’s National Bank Cricket Arena.
