DUBAI: Pakistan’s bowling consultant Vernon Philander backed his bowling unit and said they will improve themselves in the upcoming match against New Zealand.
Speaking to the media after a historic win over India, Philander appreciated his bowlers for showing grit against the arch-rivals.
“Our bowlers bowled with freedom and showed their strength to the world. We are happy for their performance,” he said.
“We have celebrated our victory, now it’s time to move on and focus on our next game against New Zealand. We will plan things from new and try to continue the winning momentum,” he added.
To a query about Hasan Ali’s performance, Philander accepted the fact that he conceded runs but called him a ‘champion bowler’.
“We know Hasan conceded runs and we will work on that. But, he is our champion bowler and we support him,” he maintained.
Hasan conceded most 44 runs for Pakistan in his four overs against India. He also bagged a wicket.
