‘Babar used bowlers at right time’ Akram gives full marks to captaincy

KARACHI: Pakistan’s former speedster Wasim Akram appreciated Babar Azam for peaking at the right time with his captaincy mindset in their T20 World Cup match against India.

While talking to the media here at a local event, Akram said Babar used bowlers rightly which benefitted the team.

“Babar utilized his bowlers so well and it helped Pakistan take control of the Indian batting line,” he said.

Akram once again emphasized toss will play an important role throughout the event. “India was favorite to win but after the toss, the game was fifty-fifty. In the UAE, toss plays a crucial role. Pakistan must be planning now about tackling the situation after losing the toss,” he maintained.

The cricketer-turned-analyst advised the Pakistan team to now focus on the next games as the whole world cup is left. “Celebrations should be over now and the team must focus on their next game. There is a long way to go for them and I hope they continue the momentum ahead,” he concluded.
