GHIZER: The infamous Polo Tournament will mark its return to Gilgit Baltistan after a gap of two years as the competition will commence on June 22 here.
The three-day tournament will feature five teams, in a bid to lift the glittering trophy as the final of the event will take place on June 24.
The five teams include Ghizer Tigers, Ghizer High-landers, Ghizer Superstars, Bhandar Bazigars, and Bhandar Defenders.
The glittering event will commence with the Tigers taking on the Bazigars in the curtain-raiser, while High-landers will lock horns with the Defenders. Ghizer Superstars, on the other hand, have been awarded direct qualification for the next round.
It is pertinent to mention here that the event is being organized to promote the sports activities in the region.
