DUBAI: West Indies’ experienced cricketer Chris Gayle has left Indian Premier League (IPL) citing ‘bubble fatigue’.
In a statement after deciding to leave the Indian domestic tournament, Gayle said ‘bubble fatigue’ led to his decision as he wants to take a rest before the all-important T20 World Cup.
“I want to refocus on helping the West Indies in the T20 World Cup and would like to take a break in Dubai,” he said in his statement.
It must be noted here that a 42-years-old cricketer has been named in the West Indies squad for the mega multi-nation tournament. The event is scheduled to start in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Oman on October 17.
