KARACHI: Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon presided over a meeting to review the plans for the Pakistan-West Indies series and instructed the authorities to meet the deadline by Wednesday.
In the meeting, Commissioner Iqbal instructed to ensure the fool-proof security and to make the arrangements for the traffic flow during the series.
“Foolproof security should be provided, only necessary routes to close”, he said.
Commissioner Iqbal instructed the Deputy Commissioner East Asif Jan Siddiqui to make the arrangements for the cleanliness and to make the routes presentable. The commissioner has formed the committee presided by Deputy Commissioner Asif.
“Ensure cleanliness, installation of street lights and provision of other facilities.” Commissioner added.
“The paths leading to the stadium should be beautified.”, he concluded.
The attendants briefed the commissioners that the parking arrangements have begun. From the parking lot to the stadium, a shuttle service will be provided.
To maintain a high level of cleanliness and convenience. At Hakim Saeed Ground and Gharib Nawaz Ground, parking arrangements have already begun.
The Pakistan-West Indies T20I and ODI series will take place from December 13 to December 22. Both series matches are set to take place at Karachi’s National Stadium.
