KARACHI: The upcoming Asia Cup 2022, previously scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka, is likely to be moved away from the country, sources claimed.
According to the details, the island’s escalating political and economic turmoil may result in the hosting rights being transferred to another country.
The issue of the Asia Cup’s hosting will be discussed in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) quarterly meeting on April 10.
Ramiz Raja, the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and Faisal Hasnain, the CEO, are expected to attend the ICC conference in Dubai.
It is pertinent to mention here that the tournament has already been postponed twice.
