Abid Ali diagnosed as case of Acute Coronary Syndrome: PCB

KARACHI: Central Punjab (CP)’s opener Abid Ali has been diagnosed with Acute Coronary Syndrome, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) informed on Tuesday. 

In a press release, PCB shared that Abid was taken to a local hospital after he complaint of chest pain while batting against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) on Day 4 of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy (QEAT)’s last round here at UBL Sports Complex.

“Abid was taken immediately to a cardiac hospital after he complaint of chest pain while batting. He was diagnosed as a case of Acute Coronary Syndrome. He is under the care of Consultant Cardiologist who is liaising with PCB medical team regarding further treatment. He is currently stable,” PCB wrote.

Abid scored 61 runs before leaving the field. Later on, KPK beat CP by 244 runs to qualify for the final of QEAT 2021-22. They will face Northern in the final of the event from December 25.
