MASHHAD: Abdul Mueed Baloch, commonly known as Baloch Bolt bagged the Silver Medal in the 400m category of the Imam Reza International Athletics Tournament here on Sunday.
Mueed finished the 400m track in 46.73 seconds, enough for second place in the competition. His lightning-quick finish also catapulted him to claim a national record for the quickest 400-meter run.
In the global event, athletes from Pakistan, and the host Iran, alongside Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Oman, Qatar, and other nations participated.
Following this amazing accomplishment, Mueed took to his Twitter and wrote ‘Alhamdulillah’. The athlete will now compete in a 200m race today.
Another Pakistani athlete, Sharoz Khan, on the other hand, also bagged a silver medal in the High Jump, taking the overall tally of the country’s medals to two in the global event.
