GILGIT: Young Pakistani climber Shehroze Kashif, who went missing along with a fellow mountaineer after reaching the summit of the Nanga Parbat yesterday has been found, confirmed his father.
Shehroze, who lost contact with the camp after reaching the summit, has been spotted while descending from the mountain.
Kashif Salman, the father of the young mountaineer, informed that he received an update of his son as he has been traced heading towards Camp 3 from Camp 4 on Nanga Parbat.
“He looks to be fine as we received an update today that he was on his way making a return,” he said.
He further claimed that Kashif and a fellow mountaineer were continuing their journey on their own and were not being rescued.
It is worth mentioning here that Shehroze became the youngest mountaineer to successfully summit Nanga Parbat, the ninth highest peak in the world, yesterday. Whereas, he already holds the record for being the youngest mountaineer to reach the summit of Mount Everest and K2.
