LAHORE: Pakistan’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighters are determined to clinch the gold medals in the upcoming World MMA Championship, scheduled in Abu Dhabi.
Pakistan’s only female fighter in the team – Eman Khan, while sharing her plans for the world championship, said that being the only female fighter in the camp, she is looking to do wonders for the country by clinching the gold medal.
“I will do my best to win the gold medal,” Eman said.
In a press conference held by the Mixed Martial Arts Pakistan, the players alongside the coach Ehtisham Karim talked about the preparations of the squad for the upcoming championship.
Ehtisham while talking to the media said that he tried his best to train the players in minimal time and resources.
“We have tried our best to prepare in less time and fewer resources. The players also cooperated a lot in the camp,” he said.
Ehtisham also said that he is not concerned about the outcomes of the matches, however, ensured that the players will fight out of their might.
MMA fighter Taimoor Khan also acknowledged Ehtisham and said that the players have trained well for the championship and is hopeful of performing well in the championship.
“We will try to make Pakistan proud in the World Championship,” he said.
The MMA World Championship will take place from January 24 to January 28 in Abu Dhabi. Players from 53 countries including Pakistan will participate in the event.
