KARACHI: As former top-ranked ODI bowler Hasan Ali turned 28 on Saturday, the cricket fraternity rallied to shower their heartfelt wishes on the Pakistani pacer.

Hasan, who played a key role in Pakistan’s Champions Trophy triumph in 2017 by taking 13 wickets in the global tournament and earning the title of Player of the Tournament, is celebrating his 28th birthday today.

On his special day, several fellow cricketers took to their Twitter handles and wished the pacer on his birthday by sharing heartfelt messages.

Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed took to his Twitter and wrote, “Happy birthday Guddo. Always be happy and a lot of prayers for you.”

Hasan’s left-arm counterpart and his Champions Trophy teammate Rumman Raees heaped praises on the former’s bowling abilities and wished him well for his future.

“Have seen you taking away the forms of many big batsmen with jaffa of deliveries, wishing you a very happy birthday and upcoming career for Pakistan needs you. Happy birthday [Hasan Ali],” he wrote.

Hasan’s best friend Shadab Khan also shared a heartfelt note on his Twitter to wish the former on his special day and termed him a sincere friend.

“Find yourself a friend as sincere as Hasan, a teammate as passionate as Hasan. Happy birthday [Hasan]. Love you bhai,” Shadab wrote.

World No.2 ODI batter Imam-ul-Haq also shared his picture with Hasan and wished the latter on his 28th birthday.

“Happy Birthday Hasan. May you always be very happy, healthy, and successful. Love you Hassu.” Imam wrote.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on the other hand, shared a compilation video of Hasan’s all-round performance from South Africa’s historic tour to the country in 2021.
