Pakistan will begin their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against arch-rivals India on October 23.
In last year’s edition, Babar-led Pakistan ended the jinx of not beating India in a world game when he partnered strongly with Mohammad Rizwan and powered the Men in Green to a massive 10-wicket victory.
The right-handed batter continued to enjoy a remarkable tournament as he ended as a top scorer with 303 runs in six games.
Pakistan captain also equalled an astounding record of his then counterpart Virat Kohli and Australia’s legendary opener Matthew Hayden of scoring the most half-centuries in a single edition of the T20 World Cup (4).
