MOUNT MAUNGANUI: Indian cricketers put the heat of the two arch-rivals aside and shared a cute moment with Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof’s daughter Fatima after the conclusion of the Women’s World Cup clash, here on Sunday.
India secured a consolidating 107-runs against arch-rivals, thanks to the brilliant performances of Sneh Rana, Puja Vastrakar, and Rajeshwari Gayakwad.
Taking to Twitter, the International Cricket Council (ICC) shared the picture of Indian players taking a group selfie with Bisma’s daughter Fatima.
“Little Fatima’s first lesson in the spirit of cricket from India and Pakistan,” the cricket council wrote.
The cricketing world also praised Indian players’ gestures and a video has also gone viral in which Indian players can be seen enjoying their time with the adorable Fatima.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan had an unwanted start to their Women’s World Cup campaign as the defeat against India in their first game has pushed them to the bottom of the points table, while India moves to the top.
