KARACHI: As former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik turned 41 today, the cricket fraternity rallied to shower their heartfelt wishes on one of the fittest athletes of the country.
Malik, one of the finest T20 batters throughout the world even at the ripe age of 41, will represent Karachi Kings in the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League.
On his special day, several fellow cricketers and his PSL franchise took to the Twitter handles and wished the veteran batter on his birthday by sharing heartfelt messages.
Malik’s fellow cricketers, while wishing the latter on his birthday, termed the senior batter as an inspiration for the youngsters. Here’s what they wrote:
It is pertinent to mention that Malik will represent Karachi Kings in the upcoming eighth edition of the PSL, scheduled to take place from February 13 to March 19 in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.
The Kings will start their PSL 8 campaign against Peshawar Zalmi on February 14. The 2020 champions will play five of their round matches at home before the action shifts to Lahore and Rawalpindi.
