“Will try to strengthen our bowling department,” Wasim Akram

LAHORE: President Karachi Kings, Wasim Akram, during an interview, told that the franchise has retained its core players; hopeful of picking a good bowler.

Pakistan’s legendary fast bowler, Wasim said the players’ drafting is a tough challenge, but, we are hopeful and excited.

“We are very excited, but, the draft would not be easy. We are trying to improve our bowling department,” he said.

“Will try to pick a good bowling option from the Emerging category,” he added.

Wasim also lauded the leadership skills of Babar Azam and said he is improving gradually.

“Babar is a very good captain and he is slowly getting better,” he said.

On the recent speculations regarding Mohammad Amir’s demotion in the category list, Wasim, along with the Karachi Kings’ Manager, Tariq Wasi, cleared that the rumors were not true.

“There was no category-related issue with Amir,” Wasim said.

“Amir was informed about the demotion from the beginning,” Mr. Tariq told.

Wasim also said The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) compiled a list of players this time.
