‘Will give tough time to Pakistan Blind Cricket Team’ South Africa’s Captain

KARACHI: The captain of the South African ODI Blind Cricket Team Isaac Bidla is determined of giving a tough to Pakistan Blind Cricket Team in their upcoming ODI series, starting from Monday.

Bidla, while talking to the presser during the trophy unveiling ceremony for the scheduled ODI series, said he is confident that his team will perform well against Pakistan and will give a tough time to the home side.

“I think Pakistan is a strong opponent and we respect them a lot. We are not just here to learn from their experience but we are here to compete,” he said.

“I am backing my boys to perform well in this ODI series regardless of whatever the outcome would be,” he added.

The South African captain further added that it is an amazing opportunity for the touring side to prepare for the upcoming World Cup, scheduled in November.

Pakistan Blind Cricket Team captain Nisar Ali, on the other hand, stated that they are taking the field against South Africa with a sight set on the upcoming world cup and are fully prepared for the challenge.

“I think it is a great opportunity for us as well to play in our home conditions against a strong team like South Africa,” he said.

“I think it will help us to prepare well for the upcoming World Cup,” he added.

Nisar also revealed that the national team will compete in a triangular series with India and Bangladesh, after the conclusion of South Africa’s tour.

It must be noted here that the South Africa blind team has reached Pakistan to play five ODIs and three T20Is. The ODI series will take place in Karachi whereas Faisalabad and Lahore will host T20Is.
