England beat West Indies by six wickets in second T20 World Cup match

DUBAI: England beat West Indies by six wickets in the second game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.

Eoin Morgan-led side successfully chased the 56-run target in overs with the loss of four wickets.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler was the top scorer as he remained not out for 22-ball 24 with three fours to his name. Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow made 11 and nine runs respectively.

Akeal Hosein took two wickets and conceded 24 runs in his allotted four overs while Ravi Rampaul got a wicket as well.

England had won the toss and invited West Indies to bat.

The defending champions put on a dismal batting performance and were dismissed for just 55 runs in 14.2 overs. Chris Gayle was the only batsman to score in double figures with 13 from nine deliveries with three boundaries to his name.

Spinner Adil Rashid was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets. Moeen Ali and Tymal Mills took two wickets each.
