ISLAMABAD: The red-ball squad of the West Indies has landed here on Monday to play a two-match Test series against Pakistan.
The West Indies Test squad, under the leadership of captain Craig Brathwaite, reached Pakistan on Flight EK 612 after a stopover in Dubai.
The visiting team will play a three-day practice match against Pakistan Shaheens, led by Test cricketer Imam-ul-Haq, from January 10 to 12 at the Islamabad Club.
Shaheens will begin their training at the Islamabad Club on 7 January while West Indies will undergo two training sessions on 8 and 9 January.
Following the practice match, West Indies will play a two-match Test series against Pakistan, that will run from 17 January to 29 January.
This series is part of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25.
The first Test will be played from January 17 to January 21 in Multan, while the second match will commence on January 25 at the same venue.
