WATCH: Ben Stokes saves a six with a stunning fielding effort at boundary

CANBERRA: England all-rounder Ben Stokes has once again made headlines with his astonishing fielding effort as he saved a six with a brilliant piece of fielding at the boundary amid the ongoing second T20I against Australia.

Stokes, patrolling the fence at the long-off region in the 12th over of Australia’s inning, stole the show with a remarkable effort in the field.

Sam Curran bowled a fuller-length delivery to Australia’s Mitch Marsh, who inside-out hoisted it over long-off, and ran casually between the wickets – perceiving it to be a six.

Stokes, however, dived back towards the rope, snaffled the catch in one hand and released as he flew towards the hoardings.

His breathtaking effort saved four runs for his team, who are defending 179 in 20 overs.

The right-arm pacer then turned the tables in the 15th over as he removed Marsh to hand his side a much-needed breakthrough.

But, this time it was Curran who displayed a magnificent effort to grasp a well-judged low catch at deep square leg.
