LAHORE: Pakistan’s left-arm pacer Wahab Riaz has turned down the reports circulating about him being deported from the United Kingdom for his participation in the upcoming The Hundred League.
Wahab, while speaking in a telephonic interview, claimed that the 36-years-old did not even travel to the UK yet.
“How can I be deported from the UK if I did not go there? I’ve been in Lahore with my family,” Wahab said.
“The Hundred training is underway, and my body is adjusting well. I am full of self-assurance and am backing myself heavily to do well in the event,” he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the left-arm pacer Wahab was picked by The Hundred’s franchise Northern Superchargers for 75,000 pounds.
