BRISBANE: Indian batter Virat Kohli stole the show with his astonishing fielding effort as he gobbled a screamer at the boundary amid his side’s warm-up match against Australia.
Kohli, patrolling the fence at the long-on region in the 20th over of Australia’s inning, stole the show with a remarkable effort in the field.
Mohammed Shami bowled a fuller-length delivery to Australia’s Pat Cummins, who hammered the ball towards the long-on boundary when the hosts needed seven runs off four deliveries.
Kohli judged Cummins’ hit to perfection and was backtracking. But while on the move, got out the right and plucked it.
It is pertinent to mention that India downed Australia by six runs, courtesy of an astounding last over from Shami, who removed four Australian batters to power his side to a confidence-boosting victory ahead of the T20 World Cup.
