‘Viral pictures of Pak-Ind players sent out message of peace’ Saqlain

DUBAI: Pakistan team’s head coach for T20 World Cup 2021, Saqlain Mushtaq believes that viral pictures of Pakistan-India cricketers sent out a strong message of peace and love.

Speaking to media virtually on Thursday, Saqlain said Pakistan and India are the two most powerful cricket nations in the world and people always enjoy their matches against each other.

“Pakistan vs India matches have always been exciting for the cricket fans. Our victory against them was convincing and we enjoyed it,” he said.

“But, the best part of the match was those pictures of Pakistan-India players that went viral. Hats off to Dhoni, Virat, Babar, Malik, Dahani, Rizwan, Imad, their pictures after the Pak-India game sent a strong message of love and peace,” the head coach shared.

While talking about the game, Saqlain said they can’t take any team lightly, moving closer to semi-final of the multi-nation tournament.

“We have got confidence after two victories in the event. But, we can’t get relaxed because no team is light in the tournament,” he said.

“Our next match is against Afghanistan which is a really good side. Their openers are in form and they can give us a tough time. We need to plan things strongly against them and continue our winning streak,” he added.
