GILGIT: International Boxer Usman Wazir has announced to hold the largest boxing event in the history of Pakistan, here in June.
The major event, according to the details, will include top international boxers from ten different countries and would take place in Usman’s hometown, here in June.
Usman, the Asian champion, will, on the other hand, engage in an international fight in his city for the first time.
The mega event will be hosted by Pakistan’s Force Command Northern Areas (FCNA). Usman discussed the possibilities for the event with FCNA Commandant General Jawad Ahmed and thanked Jawad for his cooperation in hosting the event.
“In the name of Pakistan and Gilgit, I am honored to host the largest boxing event in the country’s history,” he said while talking to the media.
“The international boxing event will also promote tourism as well as boxing,” he concluded.
