ISLAMABAD: World Boxing Council (WBC) Middle East champion Usman Wazeer has become the ambassador of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive Program.
Special Adviser to the Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar met the young boxer on Wednesday to acknowledge his achievements and appoint him as the ambassador.
“Usman is our asset and his achievements in the boxing world are commendable,” Dar praised the boxer. “Kamyab Jawan Sports Drive is there to support such athletes and let them represent Pakistan on the higher level,” he said.
The special assistant was impressed with Usman’s Middle East title and assured to support him in participating in Youth World Title.
“Usman achieved Middle East title for Pakistan and we are proud of him. Hence, we make him the ambassador of our sports drive in boxing category. Also, we assure him full support to participate in Youth World Title fight,” he concluded.
