KARACHI: Pakistani pacer Usman Shinwari took retirement from red-ball cricket to focus more on the shorter format of the game.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Shinwari shared that he recovered from a back injury and is about to make his comeback in competitive cricket.
“Thanks to Javed Mughal [His trainer]. ALHAMDULILLAH I have made my comeback again from a back injury and now I am absolutely fit but due to my Doctors and physio advises I have to leave Long format to avoid such injuries in future and prolong my Cricket career. I am Resigning from Red ball,” he wrote.

Shinwari played only Test from Pakistan in 2019. He last appeared in First-Class cricket last month during Quaid-e-Azam Trophy’s third round.
