U19 Asia Cup: SLvsBAN ends halfway due to COVID-19

DUBAI: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) called off Group B match of U19 Asia Cup between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka halfway after two officials were tested COVID-19 positive. 

As per the details, the match was ended halfway after two COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the camp.

“Asian Cricket Council and Emirates Cricket Board can confirm that the final Group B match of ACC Under 19 Asia Cup scheduled for play today has been called off,” ACC said in a statement on Twitter.

“It is confirmed that two Officials have tested positive for COVID-19. The Officials are currently safe and being treated in accordance with tournament protocols. All personnel associated with this match are undergoing testing protocols and isolating until results returned,” the statement added.

Now, all the players and officials will be tested for COVID-19 before any further decision on this matter.
