Trophy unveiled for Pakistan-Bangladesh T20I series

DHAKA: The trophy for the upcoming three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Bangladesh was unveiled during a ceremony held at a local hotel here on Saturday.

Captains from both sides, Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha and Bangladesh’s Litton Das, posed with the trophy ahead of what promises to be an intense contest.

The opening match is scheduled for July 20, with the first ball set to be bowled at 5:00 PM Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

All three matches, on July 20, 22, and 24, will be played at the iconic Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

For Pakistan, the series marks their first away assignment under the newly appointed head coach Mike Hesson.

The national squad, which arrived in Dhaka earlier this week, held its first training session at the Shere Bangla Stadium on Friday, after a rest day on Thursday.

Batting, bowling, and fielding drills were conducted under the watchful eyes of the coaching staff.

The series will also serve as a rematch of sorts, following a clean 3-0 sweep by Pakistan over Bangladesh at home back in May. However, conditions in Dhaka are expected to be a different ball game altogether.
