Trophy for Pakistan-Sri Lanka Women’s T20I series unveiled

KARACHI: The trophy of the historic T20I series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka Women, has been unveiled, here at Southend Club on Monday.

The trophy for the T20I series was revealed by Pakistani skipper Bismah Maroof and her Sri Lankan counterpart Chamari Athapaththu.

The two captains posed with the glittering trophy of the T20I series, which will mark the first instance when the Sri Lanka women’s team will play a bilateral series on Pakistan soil.

Earlier, both teams held three-day-long practice sessions for the first T20I; scheduled for May 24. Players from both teams participated in batting, bowling, and fielding drills.

The second and third T20I of the historic series will be played on May 26 and 28 respectively.

The two sides will then compete in a three-match ODI series, which is a part of the ICC Women’s Championship, on June 1, 3, and 5.
