Tabish, Asad missed out as PCB calls 26 players for training camp

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called 26 players for a High-Performance training camp at National High-Performance Centre (NHPC).
The players are directed to report to the camp tomorrow (3 June) and the training sessions will start on Friday (June 4).
Meanwhile, experienced cricketer Asad Shafiq and Tabish Khan have missed out on the camp. Asad last played a Test in 2020 and was dropped due to poor performance. Tabish’s exclusion is yet another surprise as the right-arm fast bowler got a chance to make his Test debut at the age of 36 against Zimbabwe in April this year. These players will be divided into two batches, one for red-ball cricket and other for white-ball format.
