T10 League: Drakes stars as Bulls beat Tigers in a low scoring match

ABU DHABI: Delhi Bulls’ bowler – Dominic Drakes put on a show, as the bowler took four wickets to lead his side to their fifth victory in the ongoing T10 League.

After being put into bat in the event’s 24th match on Sunday. The Bulls’ openers, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Luke Wright, failed to get the team off to a good start, with Wright (11 off 9 deliveries) being dismissed by Mohammad Amir with only 18 runs on the board. Gurbaz was dismissed on 13(9) by Luke Fletcher.

Apart from Eoin Morgan, no other batter contributed significantly to the side’s total of 100/7 in the respective 10 overs. Morgan top-scored with 35 runs off 19 balls, including three sixes and two boundaries.

Bangla Tigers’ bowlers worked together to keep the opponent to a low score. Two wickets apiece were taken by Amir, Karim Jannat, and Luke Fletcher. Luke Wood, on the other hand, struck out a batter.

In response, Tigers’ batters were not up to par, and they continued to lose wickets at an alarming rate. With the bat, none of their batters were able to make an impact. The skipper attempted to turn the tide in their favor, but Drakes removed him for 26 off 16 deliveries. He remained his team’s leading scorer. In the end, Tigers were only able to score 88/9 in their allotted 10 overs, losing by 12 runs.

Drakes, the Bulls’ bowler, was the match’s standout performer, taking four wickets for nine runs. Dwayne Bravo and Adil Rashid each bagged two wickets. Shiraz Ahmed, on the other hand, struck out one batter.

With this win, the Bulls have qualified for the qualifiers, achieving fourth place on the points table. On the other hand, the Tigers are in third position.
