Delhi Bulls registered a thrilling eight-wicket win over Delhi Bulls in the last over in their T10 League fixture in Abu Dhabi.
Northern Warriors, batting first, found themselves in the trouble as the side were three down within first five overs. However, the skipper Rovman Powell decided to step up and played a captain’s knock, Powell top-scoring with 56 off 22 balls. He hit four boundaries and five sixes. Ross Whiteley stood by his skipper and scored quick fire 26 off just 9 balls which helped Northern Warriors to put a decent total on the board as they finishes 128/6 in their allotted 10 overs.
Shiraz Ahmed took two wickets while Adil Rashid, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Dominic Drakes and Romario Shepherd dismissed one batter each.
The Bulls completed the run chase in 9.5 overs with eight wickets in hand when Eoin Morgan hit the second last ball of the match for a maximum.
Rahmanullah Gurbaz was the standout performer with the bat as he scored a brilliant half-century.
The opener made 32-ball 70 with six boundaries and five maximums to his name. He put on a 100-run opening partnership with Luke Wright (40 from 18).
Rayad Emrit and Umair Ali bagged one wicket each for the Warriors.
