Bangla Tigers push Team Abu Dhabi to their first defeat in T10 League

Benny Howell’s brilliance helped Bangla Tigers to defeat Team Abu Dhabi by 10 runs in the 17th fixture of Abu Dhabi T10 League.

Bangla tigers, batting first set an excellent total of 130 runs in their allotted 10 overs. The start was a bit shaky for the side as they lost their first wicket on the second ball of the match as Johnson Charles got dismissed after hitting a boundary on the very first ball. Zazai and Wills then played brilliant knocks to avoid any sort of trouble. Will Jacks top-scoring 43 off just 17 deliveries followed by Zazai who scored quickfire 41(20). Whereas, Duplessis played a lovely cameo at the death and scored 22 of just eight balls.

Skipper Liam Livingstone, Ahmed Daniya, Merchant de Lange, Danny Briggs and Naveen-ul-Haq took one wicket each.

Team Abu Dhabi got into trouble from right at the start of their innings as their openers were sent back to the dressing room cheaply. Livingstone tried to pull things in their favor but fell for just 20. Chris Gayle were their top-scorer as the veteran scored 53 off just 23 deliveries. Rest of their batters could not contribute much in the team’s total and their side lost their first match of the tournament by by 10 runs .

Benny Howell and James Faulkener bagged two wickets each. Whereas, Mohammad Amir, Isuru Udana and Look Wood dismissed one batter each.
